A successful career as a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse has provided me with an eye for detail and exceptional multi-tasking skills and communication skills. I was comfortable liaising with and managing multiple stakeholders; including families, medical staff, allied health professionals and community health teams. Written and verbal communication was key to effective nursing care; in particular documentation and evaluation care provided along with keeping families and the medical team updated on an infant’s care.

Subsequent administration roles within Health & Safety provided me with the opportunity to transfer these skills in a private setting. I was also able to acquire new skills; including proofreading, document formatting, document editing, policy & procedure background research.

I understand the importance of effective communication, will keep you informed with the progress of a project and will ask suitable questions to complete any task assigned. I am a Native English speaker.

As a Neonatal Intensive Care nurse it was imperative that I picked up on any early warning signs of deterioration of an infant’s condition. I was able to transfer my eye for detail to a brand new area of proofreading H&S documents and procedures before company release.

I successfully retrained after a career in Nursing. I am capable of learning new systems and procedures quickly. For example, when I joined Compac as their Global H&S Coordinator I was responsible for setting up their internal content and learning management systems. This involved learning new software and tools which I thoroughly enjoyed.

I have always utilised every available resource to me in order to meet deadlines and produce exceptional work. This has often involved learning from other team members or external resources.
